What We Teach At On The 'Spot' Dog Training we specialize in Pet Dog Training. Our focus is teaching doggie good manners. We show you how to form a relationship with your dog built on trust and cooperation! You will learn how to focus on and reward your dog for good behavior, and your dog will learn that his/her job is to pay attention to you! Once you can do this, you will be able to develop a canine companion who behaves in a fashion that makes him/her enjoyable for both you and others to be around. To attain this goal, the following exercises are covered- sit, stay, come, down, leave it, drop it, polite leashing walking and go to your place. Problem Behaviors addressed include but are not limited to- polite greeting of visitors, jumping up, chewing, nipping and house training On The 'Spot' Dog Training proudly uses Positive Motivation, Reward Based Training which equals Fun, Fast, Gentle and Effective Training!
GROUP CLASS INFORMATION AND OFFERED COURSES Family Dog I & II These courses are open to dogs 9 weeks to 10 years old. Each course lasts 8 weeks and costs only $85. And to ensure personal attention, each class is limited to a maximum of only 8-9 dogs in Ozark and 12 dogs in Springfield. Family Dog I classes begin every 4 weeks on either Tuesday or Thursday nights. During our time together we will cover: relationship building, relaxation exercises, basic obedience exercises, problem behaviors and socialization time.

Puppy Kindergarten Puppy K is a 3-week course in which we meet for 45 minutes each session to learn how to build a relationship with the pups, deal with housetraining, chewing, nipping, jumping up and socialization. This is a great class to make sure you are getting started off on the right paw (foot) with your new fur pal. Puppy K is open to pups 6 weeks to 16 weeks old. After Puppy K, make sure you enroll in Family Dog I to continue with the great work that you’ve only just begun! Cost for Puppy K is $40. (Pups 9 weeks and older can participate in both Puppy K and Family Dog I simultaneously if desired.)
Trick Class  Come have a fun time while being a little silly with the new Trick Class. This class is open to dogs who have completed the Basic Class. We learn tricks like: bow, spin, weave, play dead, brave dog, put your toys away and more! Performing tricks is a great energy outlet for your dog while improving his behavior and your control.
Introduction To Agility Class You and your dog will have a ton of fun while getting some great exercise when we introduce you to agility. Agility is basically an obstacle course for dogs. Each night we learn two to three obstacles such as: weave poles, A-frame, dog walk, teeter, tunnel and more! This is a 6 week course.
