Lisa Smith moved to Missouri in December of 2002 and currently has 15 years experience in dog training. She grew up in the Dallas, TX area and has always been in love with dogs. In high school, after she came home with a pit-bull puppy, her father insisted she take the dog to obedience training. This was her first experience with training she found it fun & exciting. After high school Lisa went to college and attained a B.A. in psychology while working part time at a veterinary clinic. After college, she decided she still wanted to work with dogs and took a trainers course through The Professional Dog Training Center. After a move to Albuquerque, NM she connected with a local trainer and here discovered a gentler, more modern method. Lisa moved from New Mexico to the Ozarks to be closer to family along with her husband of 16 years, 8 year old daughter and 3 fur children, a 11 year old dachshund named Winnie, a three year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Tori, and 2 year old Cavalier named Thomas.
 
Lisa prides herself on continual education to improve her method and service. She is a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and attends their yearly trainer education conferences. She is glad to offer reward based training which is gentle, fun, fast and effective.
